Hans Hartung (1904-1989) was an artist of the lyrical abstraction, who worked mainly with paint. The artist’s prolific oeuvre is an homage to precision and gesture. This is reflected in colorful compositions as well as more minimalist approaches. In his works, the artist distances himself from this century and tries to find inner peace and freedom.
