PEGEEN
OPENING OCTOBER 19TH, 2026
Raised at the very heart of the modern avant-garde alongside her parents, Peggy Guggenheim and Laurence Vail, Pegeen developed a unique pictorial language early on, freed from the shadow of her heritage. Exhibited from the age of thirteen, she transformed childhood into a theater of forms where an apparent naïvety always seems to conceal a deeper understanding. Blending poetic visions with fantastical touches, her paintings feature a world that is at once tender, lucid, and unsettling.
For this upcoming autumn exhibition, the gallery highlights her stylized figures and vibrant colors, revealing the profound modernity of an artist who made art a necessity.
